Bangkok Day 1

~Day 1~
Erawan Shrine
Siam Paragon
Central World Plaza
Chinatown
Suan Lum Night Bazzar
We took the flight to Bangkok departing at 7.10am in the morning. Dear and i only had about three hours of sleep before we left the house for Changi Airport Terminal One.

We opted for Jetstar Asia which we got to enjoy the comfort of Terminal One when compared to the Budget Terminal.

The night before we fly, we had supper with Ben and Wayne at Thomson Road for roti prata.

Cam whoring in progress while we were waiting for Andy.
I didn't have make-up on because I predicted that it will be so damn hot, stuffy and sticky when i step into Bangkok, and I was right. So my advice to you girls when you go to Bangkok is, wear as comfortable as possible, and no make-up.

Andy came to send us off to Bangkok early in the morning. He was having his revision with his classmates at Changi Airport Terminal Three.

We had Burger King for our breakfast after we had check in.

I slept all the way there while dear is busy with his psp games. We reached Bangkok at about 9.30am. The weather in Bangkok is sunny and bright and it is real hot.

It was a comfortable two hours flight to Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport. We took the taxi to our hotel - Twin Towers Hotel Bangkok.
We spotted a bright yellow Lamborgini when we are on our way to hotel!

We managed to check in once we reached the Twin Tower Hotel. To our surprise the room is clean, complete with all the facilities.
They have excellent staff, beyond helpful concierge, nice lounge with specials drinks, women singing traditonal thai music in the evenings and the pool.
Special mention to the good service from their staff who helps us to get the taxi every morning.
We headed to pray at Erawan Shrine after we left our luggage at the hotel.

The Erawan Shrine itself is gilded and features four arms and four faces. It is located at a very busy intersection (crossing Rajadamri and Phloenchit Roads) with the skytrain going almost overhead in two different direction (one off to Silom Road, the other to Sukhumvit Road). The Erawan Shrine is worth a short visit, and is located very close to Chitlom skytrain station. There are also many shopping centers located in the same vicinity.

We had our light lunch at Siam Paragon.

The foods there is fantastic. There are too many choices and we don’t even know what to eat.

And followed by desserts at Swensens at MBK Shopping mall.

These were all over the town! The colourful cabs. Interesting colour huh, instead of dull blue cabs we've got here.

Taxi is plentiful and cheap at Bangkok. We need a taxi ride to almost anywhere.

We had our dinner at Chinatown. We ordered their bottle of their freshly squeezed orange juice, prawns, steamed fish, crab with vermicelli and fried rice. It come up to a total price of only S$35.

We ate a ridiculous amount of seafood, and other assorted delicacies. I highly recommend Bangkok as a great and cheap holiday destination!

Our buy for Day 1.

It is a tiring day but we certainly enjoy the shopping spree in Bangkok.
