After reading so many positive reviews about Ramen Santouka, a Japanese ramen franchise located in The Central, we decided to pop by there for dinner after work.

But to our GREAT disappointment, they are closed at 4pm for the day due to meeting!!

In the end, we stumbled across a Japanese restaurant called Mr Curry which is part of the Waraku chain. As we first entered, what struck us the most was the lovely concept and decorations. And the wide variety of curry dishes and desserts to choose from left us spoilt for choice!

We ordered the Curry Ramen, Seafood Pan Nabe and Calamari. The Curry Ramen I have ordered is disappointing. It was an exact replica of curry maggie mee! As for the Seafood Pan Nabe and Calamari, it was satisfying.

We tried the chocolate mint ice cream from Cold Rock Ice Creamery located at 313@Somerset. It cost $7.50 for a cone with double scoop of ice cream. There is nothing special about it and I'm not sure if it's worth the price they charge.

Dear is playing and trying out his new toy.

And.......

I will post photos taken from the Holga Camera soon!!

I woke up early in the morning to prepare our picnic brunch.

I give Dear a chance to choose between Fried Udon, Fried Vermicelli or Fried Maggie Mee, and the above is what he had chosen.

Photobucket

I have specially made a large portion of Jelly for Dear since he love it so much!

Photobucket

And here we are at the Botanic Garden!

The weather was scorching hot and humid in the afternoon.

Since 1859, orchids have been closely associated with the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The products of the Gardens' orchid breeding programme, which began in 1928, deserve a place where they can be displayed in their full splendour. The very design of these orchids is, one could say, 'hand-crafted' by the Gardens' horticultural staff, dedicated to bringing out the finest in any hybrid cross.

Over 1000 species and 2,000 hybrids are now found in the Gardens' collection, with about 600 species and hybrids on display. Every year, more vibrant and enduring hybrids are added on. So that all may admire and enjoy their diversity, richness and beauty, the National Orchid Garden now offers a permanent showcase, the largest display of tropical orchids in the world.

We went to Starbuck at Pacific Plaza to chill.

I had Toffle Nut Latte and Dear had Peppermint Mocha.

Photobucket

In the evening, we had our dinner at Pepes, Flavour of Indonesia located at Takashimaya.

We spotted Chef Eric dining there with his wife and friends while we are waiting for the staff to attend to us!

We ordered Calamansi Juice, Nasi Putih, Ayam Goreng Kelasan, Keropok, Kepala Ikan and Tahu Telur.

One simple word: SEDAP!!

Photobucket

The bill come up to a total of $72.50.

I find the pricing is still reasonable since they served savory and authentic Indonesian food.

We went for High Tea at Canele located at Paragon Basement.

The Macarons.

The traditional French pastry that tastes sweet as divine.

It cost $2.30 per piece. And $14.50 for 6 pieces. There are 12 favours to choose from.
If you would do some simple calculation, buying 6 pieces of macarons at $2.30 will only cost $13.80 instead of $14.50 per box. They are charging extra for the cost of the box and packaging~ I’ll thought that buying more will cost less, since it can encourage more sales.
But I still love their packaging and their paper carriers! They are just as sweet and lovely as their cakes!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Dear ordered their organic tea.

Photobucket

And this is my Iced Caramel Latte.
In the late evening, we settled our dinner at Ion Ochard Basement.

Photobucket

Gindaco Takoyaki

This shall be my third time trying it! It is crispy on the outside and has a soft and creamy texture on the inside. It taste better than any other Tako balls I have ever tried in Singapore.

Photobucket

We matched it with a cold Macha drink topped with Vanilla Ice Cream.
Photobucket
The deep-fried Breaded Pork stick. It was abit hard and dry on the inside.
Photobucket
Japanese Pancake with Cheese and Shrimp.
Photobucket

Photobucket

The Sand Cake from Arinco King. The cake is very soft and fluffy and it is topped with cream and raspberry.
