Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

I bought this Smith's Potato Chips at the Candy Empire located at Millenia Walk. The shop carries a lot of imported stuffs which the supermarkets don’t carry. One of my favourite is the Smith’s multipacks chips. It was made of 100% australian grown potatoes and it contains 20 single serves which includes 4 of each - Original crinkle, Original thinly cut, Barbecue, Chicken and Sour cream and Onions.

There are 2 outlets in Singapore. One is located at Liang Court and another at Ngee Ann City basement which was newly opened in end August this year.

Joanna ordered their signature Black Pig Ramen.

The Black Pig ramen is mixed with bamboo shoots, cabbage and lots of chilli flakes.

My Tonkatsu Ramen

The bread crumb makes the pork cutlet really crispy and the ramen was springy! I love their soup base too.

The sponge was sandwiched by strawberry, banana, kiwi and apricot. The cake itself is really soft and fluffy.

Singapore Chinese Garden Lantern Festival 2008, featuring Hello Kitty and Friends.

For the past few years, I've never fail to visit the Chinese Garden during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Same goes for this year as well.

On Monday night after dinner, Dear families and I made a trip down to look at the beautiful lanterns on display.

The whole of Chinese Garden is inspired by the Beijing Olympics held earlier and also as a prelude to the F1 Grand Prix first night street race, it features a wide range of Hello Kitty and friends participating in various sporting races.

Thereafter, we headed to Chomp Chomp for supper session. For desserts, we ordered their assorted fruit platter for $16.80! It offers flavours of Watermelon, Strawberry, Longan, Mango, Kiwi, Nata De Coco, Tomato, Sea Coconut, and Pomeloes. The serving is real BIG but the six of us managed to finish it with no leftovers.

From 29 August to 14 September 2008, the public will be entertained with Nightly Stage Shows outside The Central Mall. Renowned entertainers will enliven the night with lively and vibrant performances by overseas cultural groups, games with a chinese theme.

The entertaining cultural performance all the way from China.

Wow. Look at the number of people there before the night falls!

Fountain court at the centre of the Quay. It is even bigger than the one in Bugis Junction. The atmosphere is mesmerizing at night. These warehouses have been converted to shops, restaurants and pubs, turning Clarke Quay into an entertainment, retail and dining area with foreign style. It was definitely a great place for couples and friends to chill out as there are many pubs located in that area.

There isn’t many lanterns but they are all very pretty and well-made.
