Japan Trip Day 6 - Part 1
(23-10-2008)

Universal Studios Japan opened in 2001 as the first Universal Studios outside the US. It's located in Osaka, the second largest city in Japan. The park consists of 9 areas, and there are 18 attractions and 20 theme restaurants, including a Japanese restaurant called Saido. Some attractions, such as Snoopy Studio and Universal Studios Motion Picture Magic, are Universal Studios Japan's original.

Backdraft is a live show that combines amazing fire effects with pyrotechnics and surprising but minor "drop" as we watch a scene from Backdraft flow into life. Includes a pre-show, where the director and actors of Backdraft talk about the movie and how dangerous fire is. Then we head into the next room, where a demonstrator shows us how they create some fire effects. And then we finally enter the big show where the madness begins!

Universal Studios Japan has got into the Hello Kitty Halloween spirit with some spooky and cute decorations.

I am noodle lover and I think this is a great place for Japanese ramen. Their tonkatsu soup base was nice, in addition to their deep fried pork.

The E.T. Adventure was envisioned by Academy Award-winner Steven Spielberg as a continuation of the saga of one of the world's most beloved screen characters. It was also designed to be the only place where guests could journey to the stars with E.T. in an effort to save his Green Planet - three million light years away. Living Color Enterprises contributed to this suspenseful introduction of the attraction by fabricating life-size, fiberglass reinforced plastic redwood trees emulating the forest where Elliot and E.T. scurry their escape from the authorities.
