Bangkok and Malaysia Getaway

Alright!

Exams are finally over for the time being. My next two modules will start real soon on the 28th and the 30th of April. They are the Marketing and Human Resource Management. On the coming monday, being the secretary week, our company is treating us to the triple three lunch buffet at the Meritus Mandarin Hotel located along Orchard Road. And not to forget, the triple three buffet is awarded the 'Best Buffet' title by the Wine and Dine magazine. I am craving for it right now! Cant wait to give it a try tomorrow.

On top of that, we have booked a 4 day 3 night free and easy trip to Bangkok on the 2nd to 5th May. Eventhough this is not our first visit to Bangkok, but it still took us a few days to settle the important stuffs such as ticketing, accommodation as well as the itinerary. For you guys information, our first trip to Bangkok was back to the 7th to 10th October 2006, which is two years back. It is a pleasurable experience that make us wanted to go back for more. However one thing i dislike about Bangkok is their hot and sticky weather, almost a year round.

I guess everything is settled by now. All we need to do now is to wait patiently for the day to arrive! All thanks to dear for the major planning. Shall treat it as our warm up trip for our main highlight in October!

Below are some of the places we are going to visit in Bangkok.

  • Chatuchak Weekend Market
  • Central World (Funky and Designer Stuff)
  • Erawan Shrine
  • MBK
  • Siam Discovery Center (High end products)
  • Siam Paragon
  • Pantip Plaza (IT Mall)
  • Pratunam Market (Wholesale)
  • Platinum Mall (Wholesale)
  • Patpong Night Market (Red light)
  • Suan Lum Night Bazzar (Ferry Wheel)

And not forgetting to mention that Bangkok offers plenty of specialties and delicacies for food lovers like me over at Chinatown! At a reasonable price, we can have overwhelming amount of good and fresh seafood. To me, hygienic is the most important factor of looking for good food in Bangkok. I dont want to end up having diarrhea over there.

The timing for our flight to Bangkok is great. We will be leaving Singapore in the early morning at 7.10am and back to Singapore on the fourth day at 12.05am.

This is the Twin Tower bangkok Hotel which we will be staying in. It is a 4-star hotel located in the center of Bangkok where most shopping centers are situated. We choose to stay in the Superior Room. It is slightly more expensive than the Standard Room. Approximately fifty bucks more for the three night stay.

Coming up next, i will going for a one day tour on the 19th of May (Vesak Day) with Dear's family to the Muar, Malaysia for seafood, shopping as well as sight seeing. Some may wonder where is Muar located. It is a town in the state of Johor in Malaysia which is renown for its delicious and inexpensive food. It’s not a surprise that I will actually put on more weight after all these short getaway trip. Awwww.
