Happy New Year

New Year is approaching real soon.
I just received a 80 bucks Ang Bao and a box of korea rice cake from my Managing Director today.

Traditionally, korea rice cakes was only served at special occassion such as birthdays and festivals.

But these days it is much more widely available and is a popular snack food in every Korean household.

The taste and texture is actually quite similar to certain types of nonya kueh or mochi.

It is the first bakery in Singapore to specialise in Korean rice cakes.

These rice cakes are made with glutinous or rice flour, and come with various types of filling, including red bean, peanut, raisins and sesame.

It contains no milk, butter or eggs, they taste harder than the Japanese variety but are not overly sweet.

Alright. Let's cut short and summarise what i will be busy with this week.

-Tuesday (05-02-08): Chinatown trip with dearie.

I bought one big packet containing different favours of mochi at only $5. Initially it was going at $1 per 100g. It is just so tempting to grab every single colour and type. They are chewy and come with different favours such as durian, honeydew, chocolate, yam, strawberry, green tea and etc. I believe the price will continue to slash tomorrow due to New Year Eve.

-Wednesday (06-02-08): Reunion dinner with my family followed by 'Ah Long Pte Ltd' movie at AMK Hub with dear and family. Wayne's family and girlfriend is joining us too.

Ah la la long, ah la la long, ah la la long long long long long ~~

-Thursday (07-02-08): First day of New Year.

-Friday (08-02-08): My family will be flying off to korea, Jeju Island for 8 days. Dear and i will be sending them off in the evening. Next, we are catching the movie 'CJ7' at bugis junction.

-Saturday (09-02-08): Singapore River at Esplanade Park trip with dearie. Followed by the movie 'Kong Fu Dunk' at AMK Hub with Wayne and girlfriend. NAP! We have been catching all the New Year Blockbuster movies continously for three days.

We ended up playing the free table soccer at Suntec city, the playground located at level four. We were stuck there for an hour. LOL.

-Sunday (10-02-08): Dear will be holding a gathering at his house. All his friends was invited.

-Monday (11-02-08): Back to work. Dinner at Wayne's house in the evening with dear and friends.
