Pulau Ubin Trip on 2th July 2008

A half day tour to Pulau Ubin on the 5th July 2008.

We took bus 59 from Bishan interchange to Changi Village for our breakfast and after which we headed to Changi Point Ferry Terminal. This is the second time I had sat on a bumboat that ferry me to Pulau Ubin. The first trip is way back to my secondary school time during my NPCC annual camp.

Upon arriving at the jetty on Pulau Ubin, we went straight to the information kiosk to pick up a free map of the island.

What then greeted us was a row of bicyle shops and a bunch of over-friendly touts. We rented 2 bicycle for a total of 12 bucks for the whole day. That’s like what you get for renting one bicycle in Pasir Ris or East Coast Park for an hour or so only! Thereafter, we set off on our journey to explore the ''kampong'' island.

We conquered half of the Pulau Ubin! We felt so tired after cycling all around the island for a few hours. We pedalled till our legs finally gave way and decided to call it a day after much distance. It was fun and of course, sweat!

Japan Trip from 18th to 24th October 2008

We just booked our trip to Japan! We finally settled at Hong Thai Travel corner located at People's Park Complex after looking through their packages. There was a 7 days - The Best of Honshu package that caught our eyes! We will be departing on 18th October 2008 by Japan airline. A day just before my 21st birthday! It will be their Autumn season and we will be able to see the beautiful maple leaves. The temperature will be ranging from 15-19 degree. I choose Hong Thai travel as my first choice because previously I have joined their tour group to Australia - Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney. I can say that their customer service is tip top and their tour leader is informative and helpful. However, their prices are not the cheapest i think.
