Happy Two Years Anniversary

Happy two years anniversary!
I finally get to dine at Giraffe Restaurant and Bar over at Istana Park. It is not the food that draws me but the chic look of the place.
The spacious restaurant is set in a glass house in the middle of Istana Park.
However, there is a limited selection of variety in the menu, and they dont serve mineral water.

What i found it interesting are their serving staff is clad in matching kakis, three-quarters and sandals. Perharps it matches the tropical ambience.

We Ordered their:
-Cranberry Juice ($9.80 for two)
-Grilled Tenderlion ($24.90)
-Mushimono Steam Salmon ($16.90)
-Molten Lava with Vanilla Ice-cream. ($6.90)

The Grilled Tenderlion is tender, juicy and very well flavored.
It is served with some grilled sliced potatos and seasonable vegetables.

Mushimono is a soupy based dish with salmon and shitake mushrooms soaked in the teriyaki sauce. It was rather salty.

My 'Blink Blink' Pendant from dear!

Molten Lava was a small portion but it's awesome! I love the presentation - cocoa powder dusted in a giraffe print.

Overall, i find the dining experience at Giraffe was satisfactory. Their service wasn’t that bad. I would definitely love to go there again. Not for their food, but for their beverage.

My white gold heart shaped diamond pendant from Lee Hwa Jewellery. A gift from dear.

I bought this Philips Triple-track shaving heads electric shaver for dear. Their website claims that it is the best shaver in the world. Click Here.

Ice 3 Cafe

Ice 3 Cafe - Ice cream.Desserts.Cafe
Their website claims that they are the coolest ice cream cafe in town.
What i found it interesting are their Magic Potion.
It is made up of a scoop of ice cream and a shot of liquor in test tubes.
The test tube is supported by a wooden stand which comes in three shapes.
Each test tube comes at price of $6.90 and $10.90 for the double.
It’s apparently ice-cream mixed in your choice of alcohol drink.
Other than desserts and ice cream, they do sell savoury finger food like potato wedges, cheesy fries and calamari rings.
We tried one of their best selling mudpie, Cookie Monster as well as their Hazelnut Coffee.
...

..

.

The cookies and cream ice ream is drenched in the chocolate fudge covered with koko krunch and oreo cookie. This indulgence comes at a reasonable price of only $9.90.

Unlike the usual cloying chocolate mudpies we get at other eateries like NYDC, this mudpie is really delicious and addictive.

And not to mention their service is prompt and efficient too! Pop by to give it a try if you happen to visit Chomp Chomp at Serangoon Garden.
Contented smile~

Singapore Zoo

This is our second visit to the Singapore Zoo.
The first visit was back to the 26 April 2006.
Not to mention, the weather is perfect for that day.
It is neither sunny or hot.
It is windy~

The admission fees for adult is $16.50.
There is also a possibility to buy a package ticket (valid for the Zoo, the Night Safari and Jurong Bird Park) at $45, which is a good bargain if you plan to visit this three parks.

The shows and feeding sessions go on all day, and are entertaining. You can pay to be photographed with various creatures, or on ponies or elephants. Don't forget to pop by the Zoo toilets. They are famous and are, quite literally, an attraction of their own.

Another purpose of visiting the Zoo is to pay Ah Meng a visit. She passed away on the 8 February 2008 due to old age. A durian tree was planted at her grave because durian was her favourite fruit. A bronze statue of the same size as Ah Meng was also unveiled.
